Juniper Publishers Objective:  The past decades have seen several political and sociological debates regarding the legalization of medical marijuana as studies discover novel treatment benefits. In the pediatric setting, these discussions involve both parents and physicians. This study sought to identify factors that may influence the parents’ and physicians’ perceptions on medical marijuana use for children; and to determine any stigmas and concerns with its use.  Methods:  A prospective survey using a 5-point Likert scale was administered using convenience sampling of guardians with children receiving care in the pediatric emergency department, physicians working in the pediatric hospital, and providers attending the 2016 Pediatric Academic Societies Conference.  Results:  319 parents and 287 physicians participated in this study. The Unified Health System (SUS) is developed with care divided into aspects of care, so it provides a comprehensive service to the users, where basic attention (BA) is perceived as a gateway to non-SUS care. However, in their country that not always a BA provide an effective assistance, triggering innumerable hospitalizations that would be liable to solubility in the AB, causing injury in the health of users and high expenses of the SUS. According to reports, the highest rates of hospitalizations are as follows: pneumonia, gastroenteritis, diabetes mellitus and systemic arterial hypertension, where all diseases are treated with BA. It is concluded that there is a high rate of hospitalizations avoidable by BA. In 1996 I watched my teacher Master George Ling Hu teach an extraordinary Seated Qigong class to a group of Seniors in Houston in which he got participants, many of whom were well over 80, to move in ways that put my 20 year old university students to shame. As a result of this experience I began to teach Seated Qigong classes, primarily to people with life threatening and life changing conditions. What follows is a look back at Seated Qigong for people with life changing and life threatening conditions through the lens of my own teaching and research over the past 25 years. Journal of Complementary Medicine & Alternative Healthcare This study observed the plantar pressure between flexible flatfoot and normal foot on different walking conditions to find out if flexible flatfoot needs the treatment and how the plantar pressure change while walking upstairs and downstairs. Fifteen adults with mild flexible flatfoot, fifteen adults with severe flexible flatfoot and fifteen adults with normal foot were examined while walking on a level surface, walking up and down 10 cm and 20 cm stairs. The contact area and the load rate were acquired using the RS scan system. The repeated measures ANOVA was performed to analyze the data. Compared with normal foot, both contact area and load rate of severe flatfoot were significantly increased on different walking conditions. A female patient presented with pain in the right shoulder and limitation of both abduction and internal rotation of the right arm for several months. She received two intra-articular cortisone injections from a first doctor, but she reported that she experienced no improvement. She looked for an approach without corticosteroids and contacted a second doctor. Clinical examination revealed painful points in the deltoid muscle. Ultrasound revealed tendinopathy with calcifications. Her pain, limitation of abduction and internal rotation of the right arm improved after six sessions with intramuscular injections of ultra-low dose medications (ULDMs) in her right deltoid muscle. The purpose of this review article is to advance an alternative approach to chronic lower respiratory disease (CLRD) using complementary and alternative medicine (CAM). Review articles were identified using keywords alternative, complementary, and natural; along with lower respiratory tract disease. Data bases queried included CINAHAL, PubMed, Cochrane library, and Medline Plus. (XS) is a valuable oilseed crop in North China, and dimethyl phthalate (DMP) present in the husks of XS is also widely used in the insecticides, cosmetics, perfumes, and agricultural detergents. The aim of this study was to investigate the in vitro antitumor and antioxidant activities of the chloroform fraction (XSC) and DMP from the husks of XS. Gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) analysis led to the identification of DMP as the major constituent of XSC (84.18%). Introduction: Chronic pain is a serious problem in the older population. Older people often seek complementary health approaches (CHA) to combat pain. Aromatherapy is a type of CHA with proven pain-relieving effect. This study aims to explore the effectiveness and acceptability of aromatherapy among Chinese community-dwelling older people who suffered from chronic pain.  A convenience sample of 24 eligible community-dwelling older people in Hong Kong was recruited and randomly assigned to intervention or waitlist control group. The inclusion criteria were as follows: Chinese nationality, aged 60 years or above, cognitively intact, suffered from chronic pain for at least 6 months, and did not receive any complementary therapy over the past 3 months. The Study included 50 women and 15 men aged between 11 and 85 years. There we 44 patients with advanced tumour disease and 21 with early-stage disease. Conventional cancer treatment was chosen by 64 patients and one of them chose homeopathy only. Four patients made important changes in their lifestyle, and 8 had bio-decoding sessions. All patients had taken homeopathic medicines as palliative care tailored to different stages of their disease. A single drug treatment was used in 18 cases, based on the entire case. Ten cases we treated by applying Banergi protocols and constitutional medicine, and 37 cases were treated with different successive or combined drugs, depending on the state of the patient at the time, with the Minotti protocol for palliative care being applied in 9 cases.
