Juniper Publishers We tried to analyze the importance of information’s obtained using a force platform in objective functional assessment of Scarf osteotomy in hallux valgus surgery. The aim was to obtain a normal architecture of the foot by restoring the normal relations of the first ray and the mobility in the first metatarso-phalangeal articulation. We used the AMTI Accu Gate force platform to analyze pre and postoperative force reaction of the foot succeeding Scarf osteotomy of the first metatarsal. Using the Scarf technique, we were able to restore the normal alignment of the forefoot. Data from the force platform revealed modifications of force reaction components of both leg in contrast with the pedobarographic studies. So, it is important that the technique chosen for correction should reestablish the normal parameters in all 3 space planes. Stress Reducing Effect of a New Appliance on Dental Implant Patients-Juniper Publishers

Juniper Publishers Aim:  FM5 SENSORY system provides a new therapy modality which reveals synergistic effects on the level of stress. This innovative system combines music, aromatherapy and LED system by its own software program, and consist of a helmet and a main machine. By using this system, the aim of this study is to evaluate the levels of stress of the patients who would undergo dental implant surgery.  Methods:  This study included 66 of patients with no systemic disease (33 females, 33 males; mean age: 37.4±1.5 years). Evaluation of the stress levels of patients were performed by measuring the concentration of urinary cortisol. The treatment with helmet and the program of main machine were applied to all patients for 30 minutes. Before and after the treatment, twenty-four hours urine were collected from each participant. Juniper Publishers A new therapy for alleviating the neck & shoulder pain instantly based on the principles of yoga asana is presented. The method involves a sequence of skeletal movements of the neck and shoulder muscles to relieve any stress developed during the trauma or disturbing experience; excluding injuries causing damage to the tissue. Through prolonged stretch and relaxation, the muscles are freed from the constrained posture to bring about the symptomatic relief to the individual. It is found that the asana does not involves staining along the directions that lead to the injury as opposed to the well-known asanas such as Utthita Shishosana, Sasangasana, and Dhanurasana, Matsyasana, suggesting a huge potential to explore the pathophysiological benefits of the new asana in managing NSPs.
